Personal and Performance Training for Fencers

I design strength and conditioning programmes for fencers who want to get stronger, faster, and more resilient — whether they compete regularly or simply want to move and perform better on the piste. My training builds the physical qualities fencing demands: unilateral strength for stable lunges and recoveries, explosive power for acceleration and changes of direction, mobility for clean technical positions, and conditioning that supports sharp decision‑making throughout long training sessions and competition days. My goal is to help fencers develop the strength and robustness that allow their technical and tactical skills to shine without physical limitations holding them back.

Performance Training

I offer performance training designed specifically for fencers — from developing athletes to dedicated enthusiasts — delivered through high‑quality group sessions and personalised 1:1 coaching. My approach blends strength and conditioning, mobility, and fencing‑specific transfer work to build powerful, efficient, and resilient movers on the piste. Every session is built around the demands of modern fencing: explosive acceleration, sharp changes of direction, stability under pressure, and the ability to repeat high‑quality actions throughout a bout. Whether someone is preparing for competition, returning from injury, or simply looking to fence with more confidence and control, my training meets them where they are and supports them in becoming the strongest, most capable version of themselves.

Medicine Ball and Kettlebell Training

Medicine‑ball and kettlebell training directly supports the physical demands of modern fencing. These tools develop the kind of explosive, multidirectional power fencers need for fast attacks, sharp changes of direction, and decisive actions at distance. They also build unilateral strength — essential for a sport where the body is constantly loaded asymmetrically — and reinforce core control so athletes can stay stable under pressure, recover quickly between exchanges, and maintain clean technique deep into a bout.

I offer medicine‑ball and kettlebell sessions for small groups and 1:1 coaching that build transferable power, unilateral strength, core control, and movement resilience. Every session is designed to help fencers move with more intent, absorb and redirect force efficiently, and fence with greater confidence and physical robustness. Whether an athlete is preparing for competition, building foundational strength, or looking to improve their speed and stability on the piste, this training supports long‑term performance and keeps them progressing safely and sustainably.
